The palace was founded over two centuries ago. At the end of the XIX century it belonged to Senator Polovtsev, State Secretary of Alexander III and the Chairman of the Russian Society of Geography. Now it houses Saint Petersburg Society of Architects, hence it name "The House of Architects". Splendid halls of the palace are decorated with precious wood and marble. Its interior design was made by the outstanding Russian painters and sculptors. The building has well-preserved interiors. The halls are fully equipped and convenient for holding conferences, seminars, presentations and banquets.

 

The White Hall is proud of its marble of different colors and tones and also tremendous stucco moldings.

The Oak Hall – library with working Italian fireplace trimmed with marble and topped with bronze sculptures in antique style.

The Bronze Hall has its name due to great variety of bronze finish and bronze decor items.  The hall’s interior is a unique example of eclecticism in architecture.  The hall with area 164, 8 m2 and height more than 10 m has natural illumination.

Erker is former garden. It is cozy and light room with fireplace and beautiful mirror.

The Green lounge is an elegant room with golden bronze luster in the center.  

Restaurant “Osobnyak Polovtseva” The restaurant itself consists of 3 halls. The main hall of the restaurant - the Walnut Drawing Room decorated with hand-made walnut panels and Moorish leather Gobelin tapestries of early 17th century. The other halls are banquet halls, and are rented separately: the White Hall adorned with marble of different colors and tremendous stucco molding and the Oak Hall (former library) with working Italian fireplace trimmed with marble and topped with bronze sculptures in antique style.
Polovtsev Study (Billiard Club) there is a Billiard Club in the former Study.  Here you can see a billiard table with unique history, made by craftsman M.N. Erykin in XIX century. It was total renovated in 2006. Wooden part of the table is made of different species of wood: sandal, walnut and birch.
