The rooms are equipped with all things necessary for work and leisure. Besides the bed(s) the rooms are furnished with sofas and armchairs and desks. It is possible to place an extra bed in some rooms. Though the suites are called standard, they are very different. They are different in design: there are rooms in blue, pink, beige, green tones with beautiful stucco on the ceilings, antiquarian chandeliers and desk lamps, parquet or carpeting floors. One of the suites is equipped with a massage shower. There are connecting suites designed primarily for accommodation with children. Floorspace appr. 25 sq.m.

The suites of this category differ from the standard ones in their larger floor space (30-35 sq.m)

The hotel has several types of Junior Suites: one-room ones with an alcove, two-room ones , spacious one-room ones.The most typical for the Metropol Hotel is Junior Suite with an alcove. Some suites have extra toilets. It is also possible to place an extra bed in some rooms. There are antiquarian articles in almost all suites: luxurious chandeliers and desk lamps, candelabrums, ancient paintings, vases. Floorspace 40-50 sq.m.

Each of Metropol Rooms is worth describing separately. Unique design, inestimable antiques, incomparable atmosphere, and the reminiscence of celebrities of the past and the present - all these invariably put one in mind of Metropol luxurious rooms. The rooms are an object of study by art scholars and historians, they provide a sight for feature and documentary films, and also for excursions. Most luxury class suites have two rooms, they comprise a sitting room, a bedroom, a toilet and a bathroom, an anteroom. There are also spacious one-room ones among them. One such room is decorated with columns, two others with alcoves. The suites looking out on the Theater Lane have bay windows. The hotel offers two Executive suites with two bedrooms. Floorspace 56-83 sq.m.

There are 7 Deluxe Suites in the hotel. Two of them (3363 and 3340) are located on the VIP-floor. The floor space - 85 sq.m. on the average. There are king-size beds (1.8 m wide) in all suites. The four corner three-room apartments look out on the Manezh and Revolution Square. Their layout: two sitting rooms, a bedroom, a bathroom, a toilet and an anteroom. The third, fourth and fifth floor suites contain many antiquarian furniture articles: wood and Urals semiprecious stones inlaid tables, ancient cupboards with porcelain insets, sofas and armchairs with carvings, and also magnificent vases, mantel clocks and candelabra. In the fourth floor suite there is a piano and a door to the balcony. The second floor apartments are for those who prefer a more austere style: the suite is furnished with black furniture. The suite is embellished by several valuable sculptures and ancient paintings. The layout of the three two-room suites comprises a sitting room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a toilet and a hall. Suite 3363 is even equipped with a sauna. The guests may also enjoy antiquarian furniture and the works of decorative applied art there. The windows of the suites look onto the Theater and Tretiakov Lanes and on Lubyanka.

An ideal suite for a business man, combining all conveniences of comfortable luxury accommodation with the equipped office. The suite comprises a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a large sitting room, where one can hold negotiations or have a cup of coffee in leisure time. The sitting room contains a large table for negotiations, a desk, a TVset, a facsimile machine, a copying machine, cabinets, a table and easy chairs in the recess. In the suite there are two bathrooms, a whirlpool bath, a visitors toilet, a small kitchen with a refrigerator, electric kettle and coffee maker. The room is also equipped with a safe.

The Hotel has two presidential suites: 2264 and 3364. The latter is on the VIP floor. Indeed, these two rooms can be called museums: superb stucco-molding on the ceilings, bay-windows with cut glass, antique furniture, walls covered with silk fabric. Besides, some works of the 18th-20th centuries are collected here. Both Rooms have saunas. Windows look onto Teatralnyi and Trtiyakovsky drives and Lubyanka. The Rooms remember many famous people: heads of foreign states, royal persons, outstanding men of art stayed here.
