Hotel "Kempinski Hotel"
The Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 is housed in a Petersburg mansion, designed by Basil von Witte in 1853, during the reign of Tsar Nicholas I. The classical façade of the building has been faithfully retained, while the interior has been entirely reconstructed and decorated with antiques of the period, to provide the ultimate in hotel accommodation.
This elegant building is situated on Moika Embankment, one of the many rivers and canals which make up the historical and cultural heart of the city, known as the «Golden Triangle.» Peter the Great wanted his new capital to be a «Window on the West», and the hotel looks onto one of the city»s most famous sights – Palace Square and the State Hermitage Museum. The hotel is just two minutes walk from Nevsky Prospect, and is close to all major sights and shopping; Pulkovo Airport is only thirty minutes away.

Beau Rivage

People say that you can judge a great hotel by its scrambled eggs. Welcome to a great hotel! Our croissants are also rather good…
Start the day with a good breakfast, they say, and have a great day!
The Beau Rivage restaurant at the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 offers a total aesthetic pleasure – classical ambience, French cuisine, and live chamber music in the raised balcony above.
Chef Didier Reibel has haute cuisine in his veins; he was brought up with Larousse and Tante Marie. For him a great dish is an experience – Beef Wellington, Chicken Marengo, Steak Tartare; and Russia he knows has an important place in that heritage; after all, Careme worked for Tsar Alexander.
Beau Rivage is open for breakfast from 7am until 11am; for dinner from 6pm to 11pm
Bellevue Brasserie

At the top of many people’s lists of where to go in St Petersburg there is the Bellevue Brasserie. With its 360-degree view of the city this trendy restaurant really is the place to see and be seen. People love to sit here for hours, taking in the famous view over the Hermitage Museum- the old Winter Palace of the tsars –and taking time for friends and family.
Linger over lunch, with Kamchatka crab, or the French cheese plate and a glass of Brunello. In the evenings you can keep it casual or dress up for whatever the occasion – settle back in an armchair, relax with an aperitif, indulge yourself with a little caviar, and savour the Caesar salad with grilled king prawns.
Bellevue Brasserie is open from 12 Noon to 1am (until 3am in Summer)

Lounge and Bar
When Von Witte designed the mansion at Moika 22, it was heated entirely by wood-burning stoves. Today there is old Russian atmosphere, with the two original marble fireplaces you will find in the Von Witte lounge and bar.
Its kept them both burning all the time so that the guests can indulge in one of the most delightful pastimes imaginable – sitting with friends in front of a crackling log fire, sipping a cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. Von Witte would have felt at home.
Mulled wine is one of the oldest Christmas and New Year tradition. At the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 it is made it with cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and then we add all sorts of ‘secret’ ingredients. In fact, the bar offers more than ten different types of mulled wine; there is our ‘Old-Fashioned,’ with rum and cardamom; ‘Russian,’ with vodka, honey, apple slices and lemon peel; ‘Scheherazade,’ with cognac, sugar syrup and lemon. If you would like a glass of mulled wine, to your own favorite recipe, just visit the mulled wine station in the Von Witte and our barman will be listening attentively (he might ask if he can keep the recipe).
Tea Room

Russians call it ‘five o’ clock,’ the tradition that we call afternoon tea. We like to think that when you enjoy our ‘five o’ clock’ in the Tea Room at the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22, that you are experiencing something tantalizingly close to that indefinable emotion called the Russian soul. In our Tea Room there is the open log fireplace, the amazing view over Palace Square and the Hermitage, the finest Imperial Russian porcelain, a silver samovar – all as Russian as you can get. We offer fine French champagne here throughout the day.
The tea is a feast in itself offering the best of English afternoon tea, with a Russian accent - finger sandwiches, homemade scones and delicate patisserie, fruit preserves, dairy cream, and an assortment of leaf teas from around the world.
Tea Room is open daily from 11am to 7pm
Wine Cellar 1853
![]() |
With its exposed brickwork, outstanding wine collection and rare cognacs, the Wine Cellar 1853 is all about the good life. Located in the cellars of the old mansion that houses the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22, the Wine Cellar 1853 is something of a retreat from the stresses of the modern world.
Our guests like to congregate here in small numbers, pull the cork on a bottle of Bordeaux, 2005 (but we like just as much the Penfolds Grange 2004, from the other side of the world), and talk about life and love. The menu has a selection of very fine delicacies and mature French cheeses ideally suited to go with a Graves or Sauternes.
Wine Cellar 1853 is open from 6pm until 11pm
Relaxation Centre
The Relaxation Centre on the terrace of the ninth floor offers a fully-equipped fitness room, and a spa area offering various treatments and massage.
There is a sauna, a Turkish steam bath and a whirlpool, making the centre an ideal place both for relaxing and for restoring your energy levels. The qualified staff will do their utmost to ensure that you will enjoy the experience, and receive the maximum benefits to your health. And if you are looking also for an uplift to your spirits, then the view over the rooftops of the city is sure to achieve just that objective.
