Weekend in St.Petersburg

Day 1

• Sightseeing city tour, including St.Peter and Paul's Fortress. You will see the most beautiful places of St.Petersburg, such as St.Peter and Paul's Fortress and its Cathedral where almost all Russian tzars, beginning from Peter the Great were buried. You will also see Nevsky Prospect, the central avenue of St.Petersburg; Admiralty; St.Isaac's Cathedral; Decembrists Square with the Monument to Peter the Great; “Aurora” battle cruiser; Smolny Cathedral; Spit of St.Basil Island with the beautiful view of the city and other sights.

• Hermitage Museum . Hermitage ranks among the most famous museums in the world. A treasure trove of 3 milion exhibits, its 320 halls display Da Vincis, Rembrandt, Titians, Michelangelos, French impressionists and North American artists.

 

Day 3

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Pavlovsk, including Palace of Paul I + Park. It is a superb palace-and-park ensemble of the late 18 th -early 19 th century. It was used as a summer residence for the Russian emperor Paul I and his family. The Great Palace stands on a high bluff overlooking the river and dominates the surrounding parkland. The landscape park, one of the largest in Europe , covers an area of 600 hectares.
• Lunch in the restaurant “Podvorie”
• Alexander Nevsky Monastery. It was founded in the early 18 th century. It has several churches and two cemeteries where famous Russian writers, composersm artists were buried: Dostoevsky, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, etc.
