St. Petersburg – Riga – St. Petersburg

Day 1

  • Arrival in St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel
  • Dinner in the hotel  


Day 2

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • City tour, including St.Peter and Paul's Fortress. You will see the most beautiful places of St.Petersburg, such as St.Peter and Paul's Fortress and its Cathedral where almost all Russian tzars, beginning from Peter the Great were buried. You will also see Nevsky Prospect, the central avenue of St.Petersburg; Admiralty; St.Isaac's Cathedral; Decembrists Square with the Monument to Peter the Great; “Aurora” battle cruiser; Smolny Cathedral; Spit of St.Basil Island with the beautiful view of the city and other sights.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Russian Museum . Opened in the Mikhaylovsky Palace . The museum numbers nearly 400,000 exhibition. It is the largest in the country collection of Russian art, from ancient icons to the Avantgarde painting of the XX century.
  • Dinner in the hotel.
  • Transfer to railway station.
  • Departure to Riga .


Day 3

  • Arrival in Riga .
  • Breakfast in town.
  • City tour, including Dome Cathedral and panorama platform. The largest place of worship in the Baltics, with walls two metres thick, Dome Cathedral also has one of the biggest organs in Europe (6,768 pipes!). The drop from Dome Square to the cathedral's base shows how the level of the city has risen in the 800 years since its foundations were laid on the site of a Livonian fishing village.

Day 4

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Trip to Toukums
  • Excursion to the Tower of the Livonian order

  • Trip to Ventspiels. Excursion to the Fishing museum and Castle of the Livonian order.

Day 5

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Check-out from the hotel with luggage
  • Trip to Sygoulda. Excursion to the Castle Touradai. Walking tour along the bank of the river Gaouja.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Excursion to Cecise . Visiting the ruins of the castle, the basements of the old prison. Walk along the park
  • Dinner in town
  • Departure to St.Petersburg by train


Day 6

  • Arrival in St.Petersburg . Transfer to the hotel
  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Hermitage. Hermitage ranks among the most famous museums in the world. A treasure trove of 3 milion exhibits, its 320 halls display Da Vincis, Rembrandt, Titians, Michelangelos, French impressionists and North American artists.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Excursion to Yussupov Palace . The most sumptuous non-imperial palace in St.Petersburg was the home of the rich and powerful Yussupov family, who from the mid-18th century (when the first version of this palace was built) until the Revolution, were in the most powerful circles in Russia . It was here in 1916 where the notorious Grigory Rasputin was assassinated. He was lured to Yusupov's palace by several influential figures of the time, given poison cakes, which for some reason had no effect on him, and then shot several times and thrown into the river.

Day 7

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Pushkin (Tsarskoye selo), including Catherine Palace and park. It has been a summer residence of Russian tzars since the beginning of the 18 th century. You will be impressed by beauty and luxury of the Catherine's Palace, built in the Russian baroque style. An English-style park was laid out around the Palace.
  • Lunch in restaurant “Podvorie” (optional)
  • Pavlovsk, including Palace of Paul I + Park. It is a superb palace-and-park ensemble of the late 18 th -early 19 th century. It was used as a summer residence for the Russian emperor Paul I and his family. The Great Palace stands on a high bluff overlooking the river and dominates the surrounding parkland. The landscape park, one of the largest in Europe , covers an area of 600 hectares.

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Transfer to the airport. Departure
