St. Petersburg – Irkutsk – Moscow

Day 1

  • Arrival in St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel
  • Dinner in the hotel


Day 2

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • City tour, including St.Peter and Paul's Fortress. You will see the most beautiful places of St.Petersburg, such as St.Peter and Paul's Fortress and its Cathedral where almost all Russian tzars, beginning from Peter the Great were buried. You will also see Nevsky Prospect, the central avenue of St.Petersburg; Admiralty; St.Isaac's Cathedral; Decembrists Square with the Monument to Peter the Great; “Aurora” battle cruiser; Smolny Cathedral; Spit of St.Basil Island with the beautiful view of the city and other sights.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • St.Isaac's Cathedral. The weighty mass of St.Isaac's Cathedral dominates the skyline of St.Petersburg. Its gilded dome, covered with 100 kg of pure gold, soars over 100 meters into the air, making it visible far out onto the Gulf of Finland . It is now the forth biggest Cathedral in the world.
  • Dinner in the hotel.

Day 3
  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Hermitage. Hermitage ranks among the most famous museums in the world. A treasure trove of 3 milion exhibits, its 320 halls display Da Vincis, Rembrandt, Titians, Michelangelos, French impressionists and North American artists.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Yussupov Palace . The most sumptuous non-imperial palace in St.Petersburg was the home of the rich and powerful Yussupov family, who from the mid-18th century (when the first version of this palace was built) until the Revolution, were in the most powerful circles in Russia . It was here in 1916 where the notorious Grigory Rasputin was assassinated. He was lured to Yusupov's palace by several influential figures of the time, given poison cakes, which for some reason had no effect on him, and then shot several times and thrown into the river.

Day 4

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Pushkin (Tsarskoye selo), including Catherine Palace and park. It has been a summer residence of Russian tzars since the beginning of the 18 th century. You will be impressed by beauty and luxury of the Catherine's Palace, built in the Russian baroque style. An English-style park was laid out around the Palace.
  • Lunch in restaurant “Podvorie” (optional)
  • Pavlovsk, including Palace of Paul I + Park. It is a superb palace-and-park ensemble of the late 18 th -early 19 th century. It was used as a summer residence for the Russian emperor Paul I and his family. The Great Palace stands on a high bluff overlooking the river and dominates the surrounding parkland. The landscape park, one of the largest in Europe , covers an area of 600 hectares.
  • Dinner in the hotel
  • Transfer to the airport. Departure to Irkutsk .  


Day 5

  • Arrival in Irkutsk . Transfer to the hotel
  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • City tour around Irkutsk , including Dekabristov Museum . This city, founded in the middle of nowhere in 1661 as minor exile settlement, developed into a prosperous cultural and business center with the population of 10,000 people and is now referred to as "the capital of Siberia ".

Day 6

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Trip to Listvyanka . Visit of the local sacrifice cult place on the way.
  • Lunch in the country with а folk show included (optional)
  • Ecological Museum
  • Accommodation in the hotel “Baikal” (or similar class)
  • Dinner in the hotel  


Day 7

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Limnological Museum (The museum of Baikal )
  • Tour around Listvyanka
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Boat trip along Baikal lake . For the Russian people, Lake Baikal is a natural treasure. The deepest lake in the world (1637 m), Baikal has unique features: its area is 35 000 sq. km, which is approximately equal to Belgium 's territory. Baikal holds twenty percent of the earth's fresh water and harbors more endemic species of plants and animals than any other lake in the world. Fed by 336 rivers and streams including the Angara, Barguzin, Selenga , Turka and Snezhnaya, the lake holds fifty species of fish including bullhead, sturgeon and omul. No other lake can be compared with Lake Baikal in age, reserves and properties of water. Scientists estimate the age of Lake Baikal as 25-30 million years. Most lakes, especially those that appeared in the ice age, exist for 10-15 thousands years and then are filled up with sediments and disappear from the surface of the Earth. Lake Baikal has no signs of aging.

  • Free time (Shopping, buying souveniers, etc.)
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Return to Irkutsk and transfer to the airport
  • Departure to Moscow


Day 9

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • City tour. You will see the Red Square, the central place in the city; go by St.Sofia Embankment, see Christ the Saviour Cathedral; stop by the observation platform of Sparrow Hills, then pass by Moscow State University, Mosfilm Movie Studios area, the White House, etc.
  • Lunch in town (optional)
  • Kremlin + Armory. Kremlin is one of the most powerful addresses in the world, it is much more than just a seat of authority. It is a walled city. The Kremlin is the former residence of Russian tsars, t is an architectural ensemble of unique beauty which took shape between the 15 th and 20 th centuries.
  • Transfer to the airport. Departure
